Meet (some of) the clinicians

  • Jessica Richardson, LCSW

    Jessica Richardson, LCSW

    Jessica has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Social Work both from The University of Connecticut. She is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD and has years of experience in evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy for suicide care.

    Dr. Greer Richardson, MD

    Greer Richardson, MD attended college at Baylor University and graduated from medical school at the University of Tennessee, Health Sciences Center, completing his residency in Psychiatry at Yale University in 2001. He has lectured extensively on post-traumatic stress disorder and is board certified in Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and Addiction Medicine from the American Board of Preventive Medicine.

  • Bryan Epel, LCSW

    Bryan Epel, LCSW

    Bryan Epel obtained his Masters degree in Social Work from Stony Brook University. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, and parents. Over that time not only has he been a psychotherapist working directly with individuals, but also has many years of experience as a Clinic Director/Supervisor in a variety of clinics. He is bilingual in Spanish.

  • Jacob Korenstein, LMHC

    Jacob Korenstein, LMHC

    Jacob is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over sixteen years of experience working with children, families, and adults. Prior to joining the Vita Care Team, he was a childhood, adolescent, and adult mental health consultant for the Administration for Children's Services in New York City.

My typical workday includes individual therapy sessions and scheduled group consultations. When I first started with Vita, I was struggling with my role and finding my place. The Vita team took all of my concerns into account. I never felt unwelcome, but, rather -supported, encouraged, and truly respected.
